During the last decade, most Latin American countries have undergone a transformation from highly centralized and regulated, protectionistic economies to models of free market enterprise. Led by the example of the Chilean reforms in the 1980's, most countries have moved to privatize significant portions of their economy. This process is ongoing and is likely to continue for at least another decade, especially in four areas: energy, telecommunications & I.T., infrastructure development, and financial services and capital markets. As is evident from the list of representative transactions, each of the member firms is a leader in the representation of businesses in these four industries.
The member firms are also capable of providing many traditional legal services in connection with commercial and financial transactions and litigation matters. For further information on each member firm's full range of services, please access the applicable member firm's website. |
