• Represented the State of Rio de Janeiro in the legal due diligence and preparation for privatization of Companhia Estadual de Gás do Rio de Janeiro - CEG, and for RIOGAS, including the preparation of the Regulatory Framework for the Rio de Janeiro State gas industry.
• Represented Norwegian Company in bid for operation of offshore drilling rig in connection with ANP-sponsored Brazil Round 1.*
• Represented a U.S energy company in the debt and equity financing of drilling rigs to be used by Petrobas.*
• Represented a U.S. energy marketer in the preparation of multiple natural gas transporation, distribution and marketing contracts.*
• Represented oilfield products manufacturer in negotiation and documentation of joint venture with Brazilian partner to sell oilfield products and equipment to Petrobas. *

• Advised Brazilian investors (pension funds, BBDTVM and Opportunity), in setting up Americel S.A. and TELET S.A., winners for the operations of areas 6 and 7 of cellular telephony in B Band.
• Advised International Telecommunications Union (ITU) in the preparation of the draft text of the chapter dealing with "Re-Organization and Privatization of the Telebrás System" in the draft text of the Telecommunications Law.
• Advised ITU in the modeling of the Telebrás System for purposes of privatization.
• Advised Telebrás on the spin-offs of the 26 fixed phone companies to create 26 new wireless service companies. 
• Represented Telpart Participaçoes S.A., winner of the bid in the Telebrás System privatization for the acquisition of Tele Centro Sul Participaçoes S.A., the holding company of nine fixed telephone companies, respectively, in the central, western and southern regions of Brazil. 
• Represented Telpart Participacoes S.A., winner of the bid in the Telebrás System privatization for the acquisition of the wireless companies Telemig Celular Participacoes S.A. and Tele Norte Celular Participaçoes S.A. that control seven cellular telephone companies in A Band.
• Represented Americel S.A. and Telet S.A., concessionaires of B Band cellular services in the central, western region of Brazil and in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, respectively, in the preparation of the agreement for the supply and installation of cellular network by Nortel Telecom and Ericsson.
• Represented Consortium Telemar, winner of the bid in the Telebrás System privatization for the acquisition of Tele Norte Leste Participaçoes S.A., holding company of sixteen fixed telephone companies, respectively, in the northern and northeastern regions of Brazil. 

• Advised BNDESPAR in the privatization of Companhia Brasileira de Cobre (CBC)
• Advised Consortium Opportrans, winner of the concession to operate the subway system of Rio de Janeiro.
• Advised a consortium of Japanese companies (six largest steel mills and five largest trading companies) participating in the auction for acquisition of the control of Companhia Vale do Rio Doce- CVRD.
  

• Advised Banco Bozano Simonsen S.A in the privatization of Banco do Estado do Rio de Janeiro S.A. - BANERJ.
• Advised the controlling shareholders of Banco Boavista S.A. on the sale of a controlling stake to Banco Bradesco S.A.
• Advised the controlling shareholders of Companhia de Seguros Tranquilidade - Brasil on the sale of a controlling stake to Atlântica Bradesco Seguros S.A. and to BCN Seguradora S.A.
• Advised Banco do Espírito Santo S.A. in the acquisition of a minority participation in BRADESPAR S.A.
• Advised several private companies in connection with their registration at the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Comission (CVM) and their listing at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), e.g. Melpaper S.A.
• Advised several public companies in the issuance of securities, e.g. Inepar S.A. Indústria e Construções, Energipar S.A.; Investimentos e Participações em Infra-estrutura S.A. - Invepar; Adubos Trevo S.A. and BrasilTelecom S.A.
• Advised several public companies in connection with their delisting from the São Paulo Stock Exchange (Bovespa), e.g. Pirelli Pneus; Pirelli Cabos and White Martins.
• Advised several financial institutions in the structuring of receivables funds, e.g. Banco Itaú BBA; Banco Santander; Máxima Financeira - Crédito, Financiamento e Investimento and Banco BGN.
